If you venture up to the gold country hills of auburn California you may find me in my pottery studio or wandering around the river canyons in search of the perfect spot to pan for gold. Marshall is my middle name but i use it as an homage to my grandfather James Marshall (who is likely related to the original James Marshall that discovered gold in 1848.)
With over 18 years of experience in clay, I’m focused on expanding my creativity in wheel thrown ceramics and sharing my love for the art form with my community through teaching local pottery classes. Ceramics is a very challenging but rewarding art form. The simplicity of the process is very zen for me as an artist and it helps me to focus on the now moment. Using locally sourced red clay for most of my work, I am constantly chasing new forms, designs, and shapes.
